    73 Magazine Online FREE

I came across an online resource, the Internet Archive which has issues of 73 Amateur Radio Wayne Green's W2NSD (SK) old magazine online. Some of these issues are available in different formats for download and can be read on tablets, Nook, Kindle, SONY E-reader, etc. These can also be read online.

    The link is here.

    Wow, that's cool.

I love that site... all sorts of good reading for free.

BYTE magazine - a micro computer/home computer magazine started in the 70s/80s is also available. I guess it will make a good history piece as so much has changed in the last 30 years.

I used to talk to Jerry Pournelle almost every week when he wrote Chaos Manor back in the the 80's... was assigned to support him with products he got from a company I worked for.

Not many issues, just enjoyed our chats.

Thanks for the links. I always enjoyed 73 and the radio pubs of that era. Not so much QST but the others were a good read. And who can forget Carl and Jerry in PE?

The one "Carl and Jerry" story I remember was when they came to the aid of this girl
who had a habit of going to a movie theater unaccompanied (???) whereupon she
became the unwilling sex object of a male patron whose amorous advances
    were a source of annoyance.

Instead of volunteering to escort her, the electro-sexual duo wired her with
a device designed to administer an electric shock to the wandering hands.

Tres kewl! I just downloaded the copy from the month I got my first license in December 1992. My how technology has changed in that short period of time!

And if it doesn't come in the format you want, there is a program called Cailbre which will convert most formats into another: http://calibre-ebook.com/

My pleasure. In the 70s even before I got my license, I used to subscribe to Wayne's mag. I didn't always agree with him, but it's still one of my favorites - wish someone would revive it.
