Bill Clinton Visits Tornado Torn Area

CENTRAL ARKANSAS --- The former president, along with Governor Mike Beebe and Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson, all toured the Vilonia and Mayflower areas on Sunday.

CENTRAL ARKANSAS -- Former President Bill Clinton joined Governor Mike Beebe Sunday touring areas affected by last weeks deadly tornado. Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson was also there seeing the damage for the first time.
"It's astonishing to me how much work has been done in a week," former President Clinton said, "With all the loss of life, people are just there with their neighbors and that's what struck me the most after seeing the damage."

While in Mayflower and Vilonia, they met with Mayflower Mayor Randy Holland and Vilonia Mayor James Firestone as well as first responders and survivors to discuss the ongoing response.

"The federal government is here to help," Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson said, "We are delivering public assistance directly to the state and in addition we are providing direct assistance to individuals and families who have been affected by this natural disaster.
