Local, never heard him on the air, and I do use the repeaters on my daily commute.

However, the vehicle sounds familiar, I tend to notice 'em with call letter plates.

When I first moved to the Pittsburgh area, I became friends with one of the local DX'ers. He had a 2x3, last letter R, so he was known as the "something something Rabbit". He was always inviting me along on his various Caribbean trips, usually to the Caymans. I never went; I never had the shekels to go.

He had a young protégée, neighborhood kid who was also a ham, around 14 or 15. Never thought twice about it.

Many years later, I heard that he'd been busted for child porn and related charges. Also allegations of sexual abuse involving the protégé.

He was very quickly known as the "something something Rodent" from that point on.

At the time of the charges, he was engaged to a very nice lady, who was also a pediatrician. Shortly after the charges were filed, the engagement ended.

The induhvidual (I am deliberately not naming him for obvious reasons), I understand, was convicted, went to jail, had his car confiscated, paid a heavy fine... the usual. At the time, there was no requirement to register (this was before Megan's Law), so he served his time, and then came back to the area.

Last I heard of him, he'd changed calls to a 2x1. It's long since expired. As far as I know, it's still unassigned.

Surprised he slipped by Uncle Riley on his watch since he made a point of revoking chomo's tickets.

someone usually has to tell the FCC about someone--they don't seem to run routine checks.

I'm not surprised with church types, but Masons would be there fixing masonry, not locked up. Considering their core philosophy THAT is a surprise.

A thought just crossed my mind, if "our boy" has ham plates he should be that much easier to spot. Unless he wants to get busted he'd get another vehicle with ordinary registration under an alias right quick.

    Notice to Administration:
I'd ban him immediately so he can't read any of this, that is if it wasn't done already.

And I'm sure his main focus is what is being said on here.
