Pity. Met Pete and Harry Chapin at the Castle Clinton Rededication at Battery Park, NYC. Great guys. Very smart and very decent.

Sad to see that they're both gone now. If it wasn't for his efforts, the Hudson Valley would look like Bayonne NJ (sorry Warren and George). Industry kept trying to screw things up for years here and people like Pete among others did what had to be done to keep it, well, habitable. Just finished reading a book on the history of this, Pete was in it.

RIP Pete. You're going to be missed.

Seeger was instrumental in what Martin Mull referred to as "The Great Folk Scare" of the '50s and '60s.

Ah, but you forgot it was a typical case of blind justice and so did Officer Opie Taylor who when he moved north followed his father Andy into law enforcement. Unfortunately he more closely followed his childhood idol Deputy Barney Fife who followed HIS childhood idol, another Barney.
