You've got to admire the builder's level of skill as well as his perseverance but for the same amount of work and money—probably considerably less, actually—he could have built himself a real hot-rod of an aircraft that would have been a lot more fun to fly.

As far as American made war birds go, the B-17 was always a favorite right under the P-51. This labor of love is awesome in every way. I would love to see this thing fly. As far as why? Who knows, but it's a hell of an endeavor. Thanks for finding and posting this.
