Lou Reed, a massively influential songwriter and guitarist who helped shape nearly fifty years of rock music, died today. The cause of his death has not yet been released, but Reed underwent a liver transplant in May.
He'll be well known to all us older music fans. I especially remember 'Walk on the Wild Side' which was very influential to me when I was a teenager.

Sorry to hear this. I had a chance to watch Lou at a Poetry Slam a few years back in NYC. He still had it.

I knew him pretty well years ago. Sad to hear this aweful news.
