GCARA 2013 Hamfest CANCELLED

"Standby for BIG announcement in early 2014" in regard to 2014 Hamfest.

Maybe, they will go back to the old days, the meeting was held indoors at the Cincinnati Gardens (former home of Cincinnati Royals - Oscar Robertson, Jack Twyman, Jerry Lucas and, Connie Dierking; they were coached by Bob Cousy).

This was held in February and was the "unofficial" start of Radio season / year; everybody who was anybody locally was there selling, buying or bartering electronic and accessories to finish their winter project or start their Spring-Summer ones.

There are two clubs in the area, OH-KY-IN and the GCARA, they usually alternate the responsibilities annually. Somebody petered out, Puzzyied out or just plain dropped the ball.

I guess the old farts could not keep the batteries in their "Jazzy's" charged enough make the trip (to the parking lot).
