    A small break because...

... of not a family emergency, or anything quite dramatic. I've been playing "Kerbal Space Program". It's a neat little sandbox for launchng interplanetary missions. A lot like "Orbiter". No warping to the next star. Complete with Hohmann transfers, orbital burns, delta V, and all that cool stuff.

Lots of plugins. I quite like the "Chatterer" plugin, which distorts and plays sample mission transmissions for ambiance. And, "MechJeb" short for "Mechanical Jeb". It's an autopilot, to plot and handle your burns for you.

It's really something that can grab your attention for a long time. Worth the $23 I paid for it.

They need to add the "Known Space" plugin:

Belters, Flatlanders, Outsiders, Kzin...gravity polarizers and drop ships just to name a few niceties.

Have you read the recent "Of Worlds" series?

First four books take place starting about 200 years before Ringworld, and the fifth book... well, a lot of loose ends are tied up, I haven't decided yet whether I like it or not. If you're not familiar with the previous books, Known Space, or the Ringword novels, it won't make a lot of sense; too many gaps to fill in.

That's good, burns hurt like hell and take a long time to heal.

Interesting. Sounds like fun. I recently got Civilization V which is a fun way to burn time up. Did well with Civ III a few years back and thought I'd give the new one a shot. Less than $20 at WalMart.

Use Google, DuckDuckGo, Bing, or other search engine.
Enter the search phrase "Kerbal Space Program".

    That is all.
