Van Buren Ohio (named after Martin Van Buren, close to Findlay Ohio), born and raised in a oil town, worked his a$$ off during the depression when he bought and paid off the house he and my grandmother lived in. He dug ditches, helped build roads, and eventually opened up a gas station/garage that he ran for 36 years. My earliest memories are of that gas station, where my grandfather taught me to weld and rebuilt carburetors when I was 8 years old.The singer is distantly related to me and is from this area.
