    Hey Audie,
Did ya ever go to Galax? Gawd I bet its been 20 years since I have been up there.
    People play all night long.
May have to revist it one of these days.

I had a buddy from HS who was in love with the Dixie Dregs. He was in a music family. His dad played steel guitar. He played drums. When I first talked to him, he told me that he played drums and I was thinking to myself, Hey self, I never saw him in the school band. Well, turns out that he played professionally like at clubs and wedding receptions. He also said that he did not play guitar very well, but could outplay anyone on the radio.

The old brain is churnin right now. When did he introduce me to the Dixie Dregs? I was graduated from HS in '76. It had to have been b4 '79.

He was always freaked out over bands who were not popular. Bob White was one such character. But alas, there is nothing on YouTube with his work that I can find. I have the vinyl album in my hands.

    Oh the inhumanity.

I was at NCSU late 70's early 80's. The Dregs were a big hit here. Can't find "The Bash" but Steve Morse could cook. Saw them a bunch.

Dr Demento played an two hour long radio show of strangem wierd, and funny songs, along the Wierd Al line, but he was around and on the air ,long before Weird Al was making his mark in music. in 2000 he celebrated 30 years in broadcasting.

That was The D.I.R. Radio Network and their show was the King Biscuit Flower Hour.
