    Interesting product

The "AntennaVator." Moves your antenna up and down a Rohn 25 tower for maintenance or whatever and it looks like it would be a lot easier than tilting the whole tower. Decent used Rohn 25 tower sections can be had cheaply but the $400 price does not include a winch or cable and I wonder what effect the off-center loading would have on the tower.

    Anyone know about these things?

I'm having some trouble visualizing how this thing works.

How do you get around your guy wires? I'd like to see some photos of the antenna halfway down and some photos of how the antenna and rotator attach to the the product.

I'm really interested, because I have a bunch of Rohn 25 sections I want to put up here.

I zoomed into the photos. Intriguing. But since I'm probably going with a Hex Beam, it's not a solution for me.

The pics on the website show either free standing no guyed tower or top guyed tower. Run the gadget up to the top if no guy wires or run it to the guy wire tie ins if they are at the top. Dont think it would work with guy wires at mid point. Dont see any way for the gadget to get past them.

There were a couple of pix of the device being used with Hex Beams, so it's possible.

And, I agree, the thing can't work on a tower that's guyed anywhere other than at the very top.

That's what I thought. I couldn't see anyway around the guys.

I dunno, if it can work with a Hex, it would be great for me.
I'd like to be able to pull it down for wicked windstorms.

My possible plans are for a Hexbeam, and a VHF/UHF log periodic.

Someone else has or had a similar product a few years back.
