    Interesting Craig's List Ad

This just popped up on the local Craig's List. If I had some extra bucks kicking around, I'd consider it.

All the world’s a stage, but obviously the play is unrehearsed and everybody is ad-libbing his lines. Maybe that’s why it’s hard to tell if we’re living in a tragedy or a farce.

Could it be Elaine is pissed at her significant other?

Actually, it looks to be in very nice condition.

At least looks-wise, I think C-Lines and older are where it's at for Drakes. The TRs just look too...seventies

I have a TR-7 and it's a very nice rig. The receiver far outperforms the one on my Icom and it's analog as well, which means no phase noise.

Since when did noise phase you?

And another thing, my wife went to confession yesterday, did the forgive me father for I have sinned, thing, and you told her to call 10 CQs on 10 meters. What's up with that?

I think it's a Swine 250 which makes it a 6 meter radio, no FM.

Don't see the power supply. That would be a problem.

The Swan 250 uses the same 117 PS that the 350 and similar vintage Swans use. So if it's not available (as opposed to simply not being pictured), well, they can be found.

It's possible that the speaker shown in the overall photo houses the 250's PS in the back.

The TR-7 alone is worth the asking price. And then some. Which does make me wonder what the story is. Could be an estate sale, or it belonged to a ham who's been put in assisted care or assisted living by the family, and they simply want to clear the gear out.

Pat, if you decide to make an offer for this, and it's accepted, I'd be interested in that Swan 250. (Yeah, right, just what I need, another project)
