Both true... but the answer is:
3. The Pirates Home Opener is finally upon us.
They had an open practice for 2 hours Sunday afternoon, open to the public. Of course we went. (Well, LMFD & I did, the boss choose to stay home and get things ready for the family dinner)
And who's the first player she gets to see, up close & personal?

Relief pitcher Jared Hughes, who was one of the judges when she tried out last December for singing the National Anthem. He took one look, and says "weren't you in the singing competition? You were great!!" He then signed the picture I snapped of the two of them together (of course, someone just HAS to step in front so you don't see LMFD in this picture, but what the heck)
... and thanks to that damn groundhog, or more correctly it's handler, the schmuck... we're due for a nice, cold, wet, rainy day on Monday. Somehow, it's appropriate that Opening Day is also April Fools Day...
