Did that Sunday in the CBus area for a SWL friend.

I have no idea how much water I put down but it was a lot.

It's been anywhere from 80 to 96º for the last 3 months with afternoon/evening thundershowers ... for the last 3 and a half months.

May, June, July shortage of rain 300 mm or one foot.
Crops withering, farmers not happy, only the grape growers look for a top wine year here...
30-35 C here sunny like the last 2 months and no improvement for the next 14 days.
We passed 1976 as most dry and suny year.
    Most of Europe the same.
So much for a "tempered"climate here....;)

I had family move to the west coast (San Fran) from here in, "The Upper South" back in the late 60's, they noted the temperate climate and, the lack of the seasonal transitions that they were used to here. Seems that the weather patterns have changed out there.

Also, I have noticed a change in the local weather patterns compared to 30 years ago. As a child, I remember frigid below zero weather in February, rainy warm springs through May, Summer heat peaking in August and, a Fall where you saw the color transition of trees from green to fall colors.

Now-a-days, we have mild winters that extend into April; "Spring" happens sometimes May and, the hottest days of Summer are shifted to June with the Solstice. Hot weather lingers on well in Autumn; the leaves don't change color in a spectacular show, they just turn brown almost overnight and fall to the ground.

Not complaining about milder winters or longer summers, just noting the absence in the traditional seasonal transitions in the Ohio Valley.

Yay, got all of 3 mm rain yesterday, that evaporated immediately since the temp was still 35C...
After that things cooled down a bit to a balmy 30 C and in the night 19 C so we could cool down the houses.....
Next 14 days sunny, no rain, 26 to 31 C...
