There is a big difference between being outside in the heat, and doing demanding physical labor in it. This old mans body isn't quite as forgiving as it used to be, but I still stay very active, and it isn't golfing, swimming and fun shit like that. I don't mind getting the heart rate up and sweating at all, in fact, it's probably good for me.

I'll tell you one thing, I'll take 110 all day long, over freezing temps and snow. You can keep that stuff. At least I don't have to shovel the heat.
who does demanding physical labor anymore? guess if you must do it at 3AM

I know. Sucks. But hey, I celebrated Solstice traveling to OBX and riding scooters and I had the fastest 50cc there.

Uhh... could have fooled me...115 here in Marana this afternoon, and NWS started toning out severe TS warnings abour 1800 MST.
And in 20 minutes, temp dropped from 113 to 90.

Encrypt everything. Even if you have nothing to hide. It increases the noise floor.

We just set a new temperature record for this part of Vancouver Island today......we hit 35 degrees Celsius (95 degrees Fahrenheit)! ....... I've never seen it that hot around here ever..... yikes!!...... but it was a dry heat  (.... good indication the heat was coming up from the southwestern U.S. it was only with 19% humidity!)
Why,driving into a brick wall at 60 miles per hour, would I expect it not to hurt!

If I were them, I wouldn't get my hopes up. It does seem that the red areas are getting most of the dismal crap on the weather map these days though.

Rain today. Weatherman sez probably 5 or 6 inches (13-15 cm) between yesterday and today with a flood watch, but it's pretty good around here.

The Usual: Nice and warm in the daytime low 80os (28oC) with low humidity and cool nights in the upper 50os (14oC). I'm getting spoiled.

When I lived in Tucson, I noticed it got much more precip than here. I think it has to do with all the moisture coming up from the Gulf, and it just doesn't usually get this far before it breaks up or goes elsewhere. I do love the stormy part of the summer, all except for the nasty dust storm part of it.

I think we're going to set another rain record this week.
