Once it showed like 2" of rain in the middle of a typically dry SoCal summer day for the same reason. The XYL always forgets to move the thing when she’s refinishing brightwork.

BTW, if anyone is interested in what the weather is doing in this neck of the woods, you can access the info from my little weather station here:

(This will also supply excellent GPS targeting info for any planned anti-pope missile strikes)

All the world’s a stage, but obviously the play is unrehearsed and everybody is ad-libbing his lines. Maybe that’s why it’s hard to tell if we’re living in a tragedy or a farce.

    78º ?!!!
I just don't know what to think but it is quite pleasant.
At 82% humidity it says it feels like 87º.
Overcast with visible clouds moving overhead.

Mom says that they are expecting another high 90's day in the NE panhandle.

It's 66°, overcast, 60% humidity here at the radio ranch now. Feels like may more than end of july.

Wednesday we were warned about possible 4 to 7 inches of rain. By late Thursday it was downgraded to 2 inches. Later Thursday it became evident that we would only see sprinkles if anything.
The storm which hit the the Gulf took a slight NNW path instead of veering E. Today it is cloudy due to another storm which has been coming in from the Atlantic with the bulk of it moving NW having been over Raleigh NC yesterday.
Currently it is cloudy and 73º, humidity 75%, pressure 30.1".

Haven't seen a drop of rain since Helene. It got a little cool in the lows a couple weeks after but warmed back up. Low tonight will 50 and tomorrow night's low will be 60. We're still pretty tropical for our area, just not Summertime tropical. This is of course, above average.
