It's still going to dump a shitton of rain regardless of weakening. Enough to fill 80 Lake Hartwells.

Good luck to any of you in the path of the hurricane(s). I may have to deal with snow and the occasional tornado or flood, but I wouldn't trade any of that for a hurricane.
I am surprised at such a sudden deterioration in a woman whose only ailment was a lazy anus.
So it took a northerly landfall and is weakening.

It's a strong Cat 1 storm now. It's been weakening and I guess once the bulk of it is over land it will rapidly diminish in intensity. What seems to be the main issue it that the storm is crawling along so slowly. By the time this storm is up in my latitude it should be well to our west and will have traversed over land for such a distance that it will probably be at best just rain, possibly a whole lot of rain.
I keep my 2 feet on the ground, and my head in the twilight zone.
We've had sympathy rain here the last three days. If I could post the cell phone vid I shot of the deluge coming into the shop, I would. Nothing of the magnitude the east coast is about to get, but a WTF moment nonetheless.
Good luck fellas, stay safe!
Dropping 10 trillion gallons of rain is expected.
That is a lot of water even over the large area...

Hasn't moved much but it has steered south. Yesterday I went to an eastern view looking for cloud tops, winds, etc that would indicate the arms of the storm extending outwards. Found nothing. There was a cloud bank to the west. Pop up stuff. Humidity and evening occurrences.

It's creeping along at 3 mph. Here are today's clouds.
