Naaa, I used to have a problem with lights dimming but not anymore. You may have noticed your hardware store was temporarily out of extension cords, I went around and bought them all. Then i plugged them end to end, all 96 million miles of them, tied a rock to the end and tossed it into the sun. You may now notice more "eclipses" than usual, when I key up the SUN dims!
Here's an update on the blizzard, it's all over. (;->) Now for something you DON'T know, its been fairly, just a bit warmer and it's melting thankfully. I used to like snowball fights, building snow forts and sledding, kids without sleds used big pieces of cardboard. Now that I'm a crusty old fart like most hams I HATE WINTER! I think I'll spare you the picture of the snow finger this time.

We had a nice little storm yesterday. About a half-inch (13mm) of rain and wind gusts of over 60mph (96kph). The ash tree on the property next door wasn't up to the challenge.

All the world’s a stage, but obviously the play is unrehearsed and everybody is ad-libbing his lines. Maybe that’s why it’s hard to tell if we’re living in a tragedy or a farce.
It's that El Nino Bugaboo again Carl...... I saw a 200 year old Douglas Fir tree come down in a storm last year on a neighbour's house down the block....... oh the damage! It shows you have been getting the storms your way,we have been a little cool with not so much rain about 5 to 6 degrees Celsius as the daytime highs .......about freezing to about 2 degrees at night......last tiny bit of snow we had was in mid December, but you can see some pretty good accumulations on the hill tops at the higher elevations![]()

Looking at an inch of rain here tomorrow on top of the three feet of snow that's still on the ground. It's gonna get mushy around here.
We never had weather like this before they started messing around with that internet stuff.
Years ago, I had a huge hickory tree that fell into my neighbor's yard during a big storm. Fortunately, it fell in the only direction that wouldn't cause any damage. Still, my neighbors couldn't open their sliding glass door with the pressure of the tree branch tips pushing against it. I imagine that their poor dog almost had a coronary when the tree fell. The dog was on a short chain that was staked into the ground, and the massive tree came down in such a way that the "Y" of the tree trunk hit the ground on both sides of the dog. Aside from the scare, the dog was completely unharmed!

We smashed an old temperature record of 25.8 degrees set 4 years ago here in the Cowichan Valley today..........27.1 is the new record for April 18 and the month of April so far,the record we set 4 years ago beat one that stood for about 30 years..........I see the shape of things to come by the looks of it..........![]()

If the record temperatures keep going up at that rate, you guys will soon be able to fry bacon on the sidewalk! :)
