Ah, yeah, might be a bit of a haul for that set-up. No big, though; it occurred to me after that I posted that my real 2m rig is still inop since I haven't put the antenna back up after the new roof was installed. All I would have been able to use is exactly what you've got—a Baofeng and a rubber ducky.

All the world’s a stage, but obviously the play is unrehearsed and everybody is ad-libbing his lines. Maybe that’s why it’s hard to tell if we’re living in a tragedy or a farce.

No, the mountain and the observatory were named after the amplifiers.

I can't either. I'm going to shimmy up one of the saguaros and see if that will help.

Theres a wicked wind still blowing hard out there. In fact the winds died down for the evening and now they are again picking up.

    Maria blows the stars around
And sends the clouds a flyin’
    Maria makes the mountains sound
Like folks were up there dyin'

    Maria
    Maria
    They call the wind Maria

    Oh the wayward wind
    Is a restless wind
And I was born the next of kin
The next of kin, to the wayward wind.
