I just hooked the M-7000/Theta 7000 pair up to the digi-modes FT-980. 'DSG is meeting a girlfriend for after-work supper this evening so I just may have to give the contest a whirl.

Worked exactly one QSO. K1SFA on 80M a bit after 10PM local time.
I am surprised at such a sudden deterioration in a woman whose only ailment was a lazy anus.

I hear ya. I just haven't been into the radio much the last couple of months. Usually winter is my more active time.

I worked several QSOs, about a page full, but it took awhile to figure out how to make the FT5K do it. Lotsa mousing around with filters and controls. Also nice to set the rig to 1HZ Tuning. Wish I could have found that elusive Delaware station! I need that on RTTY, and CW!

I piddled around with it on and off Saturday evening and a little on Sunday morning and eeked out a whopping 125 Q's.

Out of all of those, the only one I really needed was Vermont which I worked exactly one time. That is the only state I need to complete RTTY WAS using LoTW. Just my luck, the guy probably does not use LoTW! He has probably never even heard of LoTW! And of course, his email address is NOT listed in his QRZ bio! Grrrrrrr......

I also worked K1SFA a couple of times...

    Ended uo with 653 Q's 56 Sections and 61 DXCC's
for a total of 76,401 points.
About the same score as last year.

N0IU...You can look up the other guys call on LoTW
to see if he is a user. One home page of LoTW, click the tab labeled
"Find Call" type his call and search.
If he has ever uoloaded, his call will indicate time & date of last upload.

The one and only Q I had with Vermont was WE1H and HE IS a LoTW user.

I wish you hadn't told me that!

Of course I looked up his call (WA1TTL if you must know!) and it appears as if he has never submitted a log to LoTW. He first showed up in my log for the RU 10 years ago and I don't know why I would have thought this year would be any different.

But I also buy lottery tickets, too!
