    Holiday's are not Holidays...

Anyone things being at home and on vacation for the holidays is a holiday is sadly mistaken. I am being called upon to do everything here from fixing watches to fixing computers, to teaching computers, to troubleshooting kitchen ovens and stoves, to fixing portable power packs. And pretty soon I'll be called upon to do house wiring. I am what they call a jack of all trades round here. Among the hats I routinely wear are...

    1) Computer specialist
    2) Watchmaker
    3) Appliance repairman
    4) Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
    5) Electrician
    6) Plumber
    7) Heating specialist

    and lots more...

One thing for sure. Vacations = Lots more work than being at work... ;)

Oh... the disadvantages of being so skilled and talented.

It's your own fault for even being a little smart. Now you know everything and must do all which is demanded of you.

How true... how true. But I get the feeling the same applies to many others out here.

My week and a half vacay from the weekly gig is filled with rehearsals, corporate gigs and practicing songs in front of the computer. I couldnt be happier.

However, i get an entire month off in january, it would be scary as hell with no income coming in if it werent for the corporate events in december.

I haven't used my vacation in years. It expires at the end of each year and starts over with a new set which I will not have a chance to use before the end of that year. It has been the same routine since the beginning of time for me.

In other words... you're married. Well, welcome to the club.

You're right, they are not holiday's. They are holidays—no apostrophe.
All the world’s a stage, but obviously the play is unrehearsed and everybody is ad-libbing his lines. Maybe that’s why it’s hard to tell if we’re living in a tragedy or a farce.
