Just looking for a Mic for my Kenwood ts-570. The base of my old MC60 has crapped out and I need a replacement.
I am also open to suggestions on what kind of mic to look for. I do need to try and keep it on the cheap side being a cheap ass ham ....

4 pin or 8?
I am surprised at such a sudden deterioration in a woman whose only ailment was a lazy anus.
That should be an 8 pin.

Yes, 8 pin. Are you looking for a stock type hand mike, desk mic or are you willing to experiment.
I can probably help you out. I have a TS-570S and here lately I have been experimenting with some cheap assed mics and have been getting great results.
I see now that the title says DESK MIC..... somehow I missed that.

Let me see what I can come up with. I happen to have a generic vocal mic I'll wire up and see how well it works. I don't have much in it. Do you have a foot or hand PTT switch?

Uh, that would be an 8 pin.
An 8 pin that utilizes that hard to reach with a soldering iron center pin.
I believe a 1000 ohm studio mic can be tailored through the menu system to have high and low cut offs as well as mid-range peaking.
