Wanted: Desk mic for Kenwood.

The only mic switch I had was the one on the mc60. The microphone part itself works fine but it is a pain to work the small slide switch on the back of it. The base has some issues where the audio is not making it through all the time or comes out with distortion. neither one is good.

I just realized that I might have a modular 8 pin connector wired for Kenwood with 2 jacks on it. One for a PTT and one for a mic, both 1/8" ... You could experiment with microphones and switches of your choice and at your leisure.
Let me hunt it down and get back to you. I do recall seeing it in my line of sight recently.

Let me see what I can come up with. I happen to have a generic vocal mic I'll wire up and see how well it works. I don't have much in it. Do you have a foot or hand PTT switch?

The radio uses the 8 pin round connector, not the modular. Thanks for the help though Charles. I could use a good dark beer here...

I missed that modular part. You do know you can make any cable you need and you can also change the end on Charles' plug.
