Where did I say it was wrong? Among the general population I am very average. In ham radio it is the one area where anyone with average social skills can be above average

SKYPE is not radio, and whose to say you could not have a 90 min QSO via wireless with a North Korean if one is ever allowed to operate, without a gun to his/her head? Im an optimist. I belive this may soon happen, as all oppressive communist regimes eventually are discarded to the ash heap of history. I for one would like to have many radio contact options at hand to welcome that newly free person to the human race.You need to read the Op-ed column in this month's QST
Why would I care about a 30 second contact with North Korea when every night I talk to Vietnam for 90 minutes with conversation going from culture to idioms?
