    This 360-degree panorama was released Aug 27 2012.
    It includes the highest part of Mount Sharp which is approximately 12 miles (20 kilometers) from the rover.
    The colors on this panorama are enchanced to give the same colors as it would have under lights on earth.

    That is one neat image!!! ......it reminds me of the gravel pit i've got just down the road from me .......

    At about 12.5 degrees to starboard, it looks like there might be a gym sock lying on the ground. Never the less, thanks for the post. it is really quite amazing, and very cool.
