    How tough are hockey players?

Just another day at the office. This guy was mic'ed up for the cameras, he was doing the other guy a favor as a team mate so the brass could see what they were about...also to test him out a bit, being the new guy and all. Its important to show heart at rookie camp if you want a hope in hell of making the big club roster.

I love how polite they are. Ive always said, the nicest guys in the sport are the enforcers, its always the truth...the biggest douchebags are usually the superstars that guys like this are paid to protect.

Found another one...this time, its no rookie. Its George LaRaque. This guy was one of the most feared NHL enforcers out there, and also known as one of the most amiable guys off the ice. "You wanna go? Ok, Good luck, man"...love it.

Maybe it's because I'm from a small-club town, but all the players for the Sabres are very amicable, even the "Superstars". However, I never personally met anyone from the French Connection, and they were the last big super stars here, excluding various players such as Satan, Zhitnick, etc we've had over the past few years. But all of the smaller "Superstars" seemed amicable as well.

I think its just how hockey is, ive only known of a few real douchebags, and they are like that because of contract holdouts, refusing trades to certain markets, etc. The sport definately has an abundance of meatheads, but at the NHL level, they usually figure out how to act, and how not to act (coughcoughNFLcough)
