    Kodak transferring photos to Shutterfly

I heard it through the grapevine. It appears Kodak will be transferring some 5-9 BILLION images to Shutterfly from their Kodak Gallery. Man, that's a bunch of pix. Looks like the Kodak death rattle is growing louder.

If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't have gotten any exposure to photography. I shutter just thinking about it.

IMO, photo hosting services seem like what search engines were like in '99-'01. Did we really need Altavista, Hotbot, Netscape, Dogpile, Lycos & Yahoo?

It's like the Highlander...there can be only one (with maybe a few stragglers hanging on).

Well, the whole Kodak situation is sad. My eyes film over very time I think of it. Their financial difficulties keep getting more & more exposure.

So we should focus on the company's past, and what good came of their work, not on their future, which appears to be pretty bleak and negative.

    Yellow.

You're all viewing this through the wrong lens.
All the world’s a stage, but obviously the play is unrehearsed and everybody is ad-libbing his lines. Maybe that’s why it’s hard to tell if we’re living in a tragedy or a farce.
