I have a junker '2040 sitting here. It will be built into something resembling the tuner in the picture below. Mine will have a pair of meters (FWD Set/REFL Pwr) from an old Royce CB installed above the capacitor tuning knobs and will show through the red insert - just like the SB104/SB230. The turns counter for the rotary inductor will be moved to a central point and will also be illuminated.Originally Posted by KJ6BSO
Two small Heathkit knobs positioned between the others will be used for the FWD Cal meter function and for an antenna selector switch - which is one thing many tuners lack.
