    My very first rig was an HW-8 kit, but i sold the unfinished kit and got an old Galaxy V. Frank, KL7FH, tweaked it for me as he was a really sharp guy.

    All them radios glow in the dark, except for the black rice burner in the bottom pic.

    Nice! My first SWL station was a NC-98 and seeing those matching National speakers on the top shelf brought back some great very late night memories basking in the glow of whatever I could find.

    Encrypt everything. Even if you have nothing to hide. It increases the noise floor.

    I had a National NC-33 when I was 10. My said it was junk. I listened to everything on it.
