That's an Almende German AM/FM/SW/LW I picked up in of all places Boerne TX. At a junk shop for $25. Works really nice, has the old tuning eye tube between the knobs. I have 2 of the 51-S1 Collins, one works the other is a hanger queen. The old Hallicrafters works as well. Not visible in the picture is a "gilligans island" radio, a Packard-Bell AR-851. And of course the Trans-Oceanic. Sorry I get to rambling about radios. I like them all!

Radio Shack actually made some OK stuff. That gang of 3 meter is one, and the Micronta square desk mic as well. Looking to add an Arc-5 to the collection.

Whomever made Cobra CB sets back in the day (Uniden, IIRC) also made a mic of that style but with a round head. I have one here, paired with a 139XLR.

The TRC-457 was the rig I always wanted during Radio Shack's heyday.

My first base was a JC Penny Pinto, then I moved up to a Midland 13-880B SSB, and finally a TRAM-D201 and a Stoner. Wish I had them all back. Used to run the turner +2 and +3 mics. Funny how you get rid of that stuff when you're young and dumb and when you get older you want it back.

Also have a good collection of CPI stuff here. Stoner #367 is currently inline listening to Ch38 LSB.

No, but I repaired a few back in the day. Along with Browning and Dak stuff.

Dak stuff was pretty nice as well. People think that all CB radios were junk but we know there were some brands that were pretty good. I remember my first SSB radio, a midland 13-880. I wish I would have kept that one. Had more chrome on the face than a cylon!

The DAK IX (AM version) were crap, it was a Royce circuit board patched between the the face plate and tube final section. The DAK X (ssb version) was a good radio.

Here is the pic the pro photographer took. The realty company hired him to shoot the house for the listing, so of course, i lifted them. :)

I like how spacious and roomy our office/shack really isnt in comparison to this glowing image.
