    One of those days...

I dropped one leg of the G5RV the other day to move the camper out and the boy ran it over with the mower. Going to turn it in to a G5RV Jr I think. Than, last evening part of my antenna support structure collapsed in to the street.

The city crew came and moved it out of the street and asked if I could wait until Monday for them to pick it up. I told them that wouldn't be a problem. This morning I fired up the Stihl and made a big pile of brush for them to collect on Monday and a nice pile of maple that is now split, stacked and drying in my back yard.

There was only one thing left to do at this point.

I caught a little sunburn and one small sunfish.
I am surprised at such a sudden deterioration in a woman whose only ailment was a lazy anus.

Maple... hope you leave it to dry a damn long time. I have split wood from pine logs that have been seasoned for 2 years. Should be safe enough to burn this season. :)

That crappie pole is actually 1/2 of a rotatable dipole set up that I put together for use when camping. I was using nightcrawlers. That pond is generally well stocked with trout. I'm a little surprised that I caught anything, it's free fishing day today, no license needed. The local trout club put on a big kids fishing event and about half an hour prior to that photo you could have hardly gotten close enough to the shore to wet a line. Former player for the Green Bay Packers Gilbert Brown was wandering about. He has some local business interests and often appears for things like this.
I'm sure the the wood will be nice and dry by the time I get around to burning it. If it isn't, it won't be of much concern. I'll burn it in my outdoor fire pit along with some of the maple, oak, cherry, walnut, bamboo, etc, offal that I bring home from work.

I love a happy ending. Where was your beer?
QAnon / GOP Republicans mentally lack the necessary intelligence to even tell a decent lie (Ex: A cabal of Satanic, cannibalistic pedophiles run a global child sex trafficking ring and conspired against former President Dotard dRUMPf during his term in office... Jewish space lasers, etc.). What in the hell makes anyone believe these melon heads can actually govern?

At the top of the fishing photo you can see the reflection of a building. That's the Arctic Springs supper club. My beer was there.

I'm wondering why you didn't leave the tree for the city and go fishing earlier.

I wanted the wood. I hate my neighbor. I left it sit overnight, and got up bright and early Saturday morning and fired up the chainsaw. By rights, I should have done it Sunday morning, about 5:30.
