Scrapple is a finished product, never heard of it as an ingredient. Pan fried is excellent and the taste is like none other and no wonder when what goes into it is every part of the pig but the squeal. I have no idea where I heard that but it's something I'll never forget. Great for breakfast with eggs any way you like them.

We were forced to eat Scrapple when I was young.... The best way to prepare it is to remove it from the refrigerator and toss it in the trash....stir well. Nasty shit!

So why Am I not surprised? In Eastern Pennsylvania scrapple is a staple food. On the other hand Illinois moms don't know how to cook it, if I was forced to eat it raw I'd hate it too.

You can't talk about scapple without mentioning livermush.

I recall seeing real scrapple in the grocery stores when I was younger. You could see the small chunks of parts in gelatinous suspension.
