    So...Pat (MHZ)...

What does your wife now think of Dayton - and seeing such a large collection of, errr, unique specimens all in one place?

Mine is the official planner, transportation coordinator and loan arranger. It's her idea to go every year.

Idk about Pat or even Dayton but Pilar wants to go to a hamfest. In fact she is itching to understand what these hamfests I speak of are. When we first met she thought it was a festival of ham..lol.

There is more truth to that than most will admit to.

Lol. As I have said before, Pilar does not really understand my fascination with the hobby. After reading many accounts from other hams I would say this is the norm. The good thing is that she still wants to understand what it is that I have a fascination with. She may not have a desire to partake in the events with me but understanding is a good thing. As well is the fact that she has no desire to hinder my practice or enjoyment of the hobby.

That's about as good as you can ask of anyone, IMO.

    Agreed.

I dont have to worry about explaining the cost of a rig either. She likes her D&G and Versace.

There is certainly no shortage of porkers.
All the world’s a stage, but obviously the play is unrehearsed and everybody is ad-libbing his lines. Maybe that’s why it’s hard to tell if we’re living in a tragedy or a farce.

She HATES HAM RADIO even more than ever now! But it keeps her Husband out of bars and Crack houses!
I had her follow me around the swapmeet abit Friday morning. Every time I stopped to just LOOK at something, she quickly told me I DIDN'T NEED IT!!! She soon saw her anger and pleadings did no good and stuff start to be added to the cart. She stormed off when I put the Heathkit SB-230 in the cart and paid the seller $200 for it. Just tested that today and NO, it doesn't WORK! So she refused to go out to the swapmeet on Sat and just sat in the booth while I toured out there. My tour didn't last for long as I knew the longer she sat, the MADDER she would get. So I came back to the booth with an EMPTY CART. But the damage was already done and the trunk was already full of THINGS THAT DON'T WORK.

She just HATES Swapmeets. FURIOUS about them!!! We are TOO POOR to eat anywhere but McDonalds, yet I will spend HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS ON ABSOLUTE JUNK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But she kept her silence on the way home from Dayton and wasn't too crabby. She was MOST ANXIOUS to get home and get this MISERABLE EXPERIENCE OVER WITH!!!! Dayton was NO VACATION for her!

So, needless to say, she won't be coming along next year. She has had QUITE ENOUGH of Dayton!
She will stay home with the Cats!
