Kinda funny you mention ARES... I WAS an ares member for a little bit there, but got tired of the whacker mentality, political BS, and the big competition of who had access to the EOC in the Sheriffs department and quit.. The group disbanded shortly after (Not because I left hahaha). And myself and a couple of other hams formed a skywarn group and it's been smooth sailing since.. All the politics and drama are GONE!
Also thanks for the reminder to remove any mentioning of ares from my qrz bio (I know you didn't say anything about the bio, but I remembered to check to see that I got all of it removed)..

We run this skywarn group as a GROUP, not a totalitarian dictatorship.. And it really works great..
I'm glad I learned the ARES lesson early on...

I'm not too good with coming up with the funny phonetics.. The best one I've heard so far was Shooting Quality Rounds

Hello all on the island!

I recently discovered this site.. And from the looks of things around here boy am I glad to have found it :)
I've been a member of some of the other ham forums for a while now.. And to be honest I don't really approve or like the way things are going on that "other" ham site (I'm not mentioning any names out of respect)...

I think I'm gonna like it around here from what I've seen in reading the past 2 days :)

Sad part about me using google translate and not knowing spanish is that I can't tell how bad the translator butchered what I am saying lol
