    Do you like swing?

This group is amazing! I really like big band music, and this is some of the best I've heard.

Only 4 and you won't get more, those clips are from the 2004 comedy film Swing Girls. They're not a real band, darn, but here's an interesting factoid; many couldn't play the instruments but they learned in only 5 months. How do you say Monkees in Japanese?

I like mostly classical music and be-bop and post-bop. But swing is awesome. I dig it. And genuine 1940's swing chicks were hot...

"Leaned to play" or "Learned to look like they're playing?"

But I love that music & it'll get the audience up everytime. It's infectious.

That band gets marked down for a serious flaw, IMHO. SHOULDA had acoustic bass fiddles. Electric basses in a big band just don't cut it.

Matter of opinion, a stand up string bass gets lost in much louder sound. Then the electric guitar was invented in the '30s for that reason.
