    Coffee With Kevin

    Our friend Kevin paid us Upstate South Carolina Islanders a visit today when his truck broke down and had to be repaired at the local Truck Rape Shop just off of highway 85 at White Horse Rd.

    Kevin and I sat at the Waffle House and discussed the state of the world and other important and high minded topics.



    It's always good to meet fellow Islanders, peers in radio and internet, and just sit down talk. Always a pleasure.
    Too bad our resident Welshman was unable to attend as his boss is trying to kill him. Typical isn't it? Why do hard asses always try to kill their underlings. Next time, Tom!

    No Island meet up is complete without a shot of the man of the hour starting a Ruckus.

    Just remember: 11 hours driving following 10 consecutive hours off duty and no driving following the 14th hour after coming on duty. Also, no more than 70 hours on duty in the last 8 days unless you've logged 34 consecutive hours off duty.

    And by the time my truck is fixed, the 34 hours will have been accrued, and then some!
    Encrypt everything. Even if you have nothing to hide. It increases the noise floor.

    Glad you two got to do an eyeball. On the several occasions where we've met Island folks it's been a hoot. Lack of sufficient bail money kept the fun from getting out of control, however ...

    I have met the lovely DSG, and her old man Fred, good folks actually. I got to chat up Kevin on VHF, and 10M FM last summer. I am bringing a lampshade for the drunk Fred to wear on his head as he dances on the bar for out next meet up!
