I've owned or driven a number of F-150s over the years; my dad always had one for his trucking business. My take on them is this: there is a reason that they are the best-selling vehicle in the world and that is that they take a lot of abuse and keep running. My experience with Chevy and Dodge suggests that, while they are nice trucks and better in some ways than Fords, they just don't hold up to commercial use as well.
