    Brake Fluid

Has brake fluid changed over the years ? These day's I noticed that brake fluid has an oily texture and smells like transmission fluid. But in the old day's, when my dad had his 56 Chrysler the brake fluid used to smell sort of like a cross between alcohol, gasoline, and mimeograph fluid. I remember it well because my dad always kept a can of it in the trunk because he always had to add brake fluid to that car. Not only the smell but the old brake fluid used to burn like alcohol. Seems like a whole different kind of brake fluid these days.
I keep my 2 feet on the ground, and my head in the twilight zone.

The working fluid on my brakes is a breathable mixture of gasses.
All the world’s a stage, but obviously the play is unrehearsed and everybody is ad-libbing his lines. Maybe that’s why it’s hard to tell if we’re living in a tragedy or a farce.

Yes, it's changed a lot. Don't ever mix DOT 5 fluid with anything else, for starters.

Welcome to the Modern Age, John!
Brake fluid changed quite some time ago but I'm more interested to know why your are burning it.
