    Gaskets and seals can be revived and or restored from accidental exposure to gum cutter. Immediately dunk it in water to stop the chemicals then dry and put a bit of Vaseline™ on it. Usually, it will return to it's original shape. Note, doesn't do a thing on hard plastics.

    For stubborn and small parts like jets and internal circuits, a lethal mixture of spray carb cleaner, B-12 Chemtool, gasoline and automatic transmission fluid makes for an effective overnight soaking solution. Look for the non pressurized carb cleaner liquid.
