Thread: Why do we read ?

    We read to satiate our incessant quest to experience life. Humans were born with an unquenchable curiosity to experience everything the world has to offer. I believe that curiosity was designed to improve our chances for survival as well as occupy time until we croak. Reading was the second earliest method (travel and conversation were first) of providing a multidimensional access to what others have already learned (biography,history, education, How-to), as well as to the imagination of others (Sci-Fy, Comic Books and Porn). Reading has been challenged by technologies like radio,TV and movies., but never replaced. A man alone with his thoughts!
