Without looking it up, does anyone remember what were the call letters of the unit that Broderick Crawford used on the TV series Highway Patrol ? Actually there were two numbers that were used but can anyone recall either one ?

Mathews growls "21-50 to headquarters" and the invariable response is "Headquarters by"

O.K. .....here's another callsign T.V. trivia question, one which I don't really have the answer for but all this stirred up my memory ..... In that Jack Webb series "Emergency",you know the one about the L.A.county Fire Department/paramedic service..... in the show when the L.A. county fire dispatcher sends the call signal via radio to "Station 51" and sends dispatch info ....Captain Stanley acknowledges the call and responds with a "callsign". If memory serves me correct it was "KMA ****" . Does anyone remember what that callsign was? ....... It's really strange some of the stupidest of trivia one remembers or partially remembers!![]()

From the Wikipedia article on Highway Patrol:
Hello...The budget for an episode range from $20,000 to $25,000, somewhat higher when a Bell 47 helicopter was used.
All the world’s a stage, but obviously the play is unrehearsed and everybody is ad-libbing his lines. Maybe that’s why it’s hard to tell if we’re living in a tragedy or a farce.
Had to look it up on the IMDb: Station 51, KMG365.

The callsign even shows up in the FCC ULS: http://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsApp/UlsS...licKey=1181273

Okay correct 2150. But, I was listening to a couple of guys on the Long island repeater talking about this and one of them said that on a few shows he used a different call number. Something like 2156 or something and then changed to 2150. I'll have to check in to the trivia net on that repeater. It's held only on the 5th Wednesday of each month provided the month has a 5th Wednesday

According to the IMDb page for Highway Patrol: " Authenticity was a major goal, and Dan Matthews' call sign - 21-50 - was the actual unit number of then-CHP Commissioner Bernard Caldwell."
