I went over to see the blowing-up of the balloons for the Macy's parade in '93. Kind of bittersweet to think of that now -- back then there was very little security and kids were out in their pajamas (warm night) watching the activity.
Two of the balloons had already been blown-up, Betty Boop and Bart Simpson. And someone with a great sense of humor had positioned them so Bart was doing a perfect muff dive on Betty! Sure as hell wish I coulda gotten a pic!
