How true, hard to comprehend that WAS the geator with the heator, the boss with the hot sauce, the one, the only, often imitated but never duplicated Jerry Blavat in the baseball cap at Lighthouse Pointe. For you kids out there he was/is famous for playing B sides, he's to Philly radio what Dick Clark is to Philly TV. Small wonder considering he made his debut on Bandstand in 1953, now go listen to The Doors' Touch Me album version (Soft Parade) and listen very closely to the end... older than dirt. (;->)

Here's a puzzle, La La by The Cobras on Swan sounds exactly like the one by The Four Knights on Triode. Yeah, Triode for you Glass Audio fans out there. Now it really gets confusing, ca. 1959 a completely different dowop group with the same name finished up their musical career on Capitol and frankly they don't jangle my nerves like Billy Taylor who sang like somebody stomped on his nuts.
