Turkey Earthquake
Having just returned from Turkey it was very reassuring at how quickly organised aid arrived at the affected towns. Now the residents of Van, Ercis (pronounced "Erjish") and other towns have to survive the approaching winter without housing. Notably it dropped to near freezing overnight in Van recently (according to the TRT weather forecast) but I'm pleased to hear the Turkish authorities have accepted overseas aid.
Today we learned that a 19 year old man was rescued alive.
Istanbul is apparently overdue for a massive earthquake and this is where much of the population live, Californian residents may have some thoughts on this
