A clear conscience is usually a sign of a bad memory

I'm a baseball purist.
I hate Tony La Russa for bailing on the A's. I had LaRussa's 68 baseball card.
I'm an Oakland A's fan and an American League purist since 1969.
For baseball, I can ignore W and Nolan Ryan, and go for the Rangers.
But if they lose, I don't care either way.
I wanted Detroit vs. Milwaukee.
You are a purist? Let's dump the DH. I was a teenager during the Big Red Machine days. I still remember the 400 to 1 odds that the Red's will sweep the A's in the great WS of 1990. I had to listen to game #4 through a concealed Walkman with a single ear buds. I was my brother's best man at his first wedding, but I feel my priorities were in good order. The priest kept asking me what the score was.
I usually root for the apparent underdog. Usually, a National League team, except Cleveland, and Detroit. Come on Cards, make it a 7 game series!!
