My wife's Albanian girl friend convinced me to get her 10 big Eels from the "Bait Shop"? They are great for catching Stripers, but I hadn't considered eating them. She is going to smoke them (heads need not reply) and then wants me to try them. Taste wise I guess anything can taste good when its smoked. I don't know if I can get past the looks

Why is she smoking them ? Eels taste best when swallowed live, whole, and raw.
