Being the type whose eyes really, reallly burn and tear when I chop onions, sometime ago I got this Williams-Sonoma chopper.
I'm happy to say that after lots and lots of use chopping onions (I hand chop everything else), it's holding up perfectly. It'll chop a half an onion in one swipe, cleans easily in the dishwasher, and show no signs of breaking. AND, unusual for Williams-Sonoma, one doesn't have to give up one's first-born to own one.
Must be made very strong. Chopping a big Vidalia onion isn't a "gentle press" on the thingie. I gotta bang it with my fist.
