As the relatively weak comet "Elenin" drifts closer to Earth conspiract theorists, doomsdayers, apocalyptists, etc have jumped on the bandwagon of uninformed misinformation and scaremongering.

I'm waiting for Mr Applewhite's return from the Oort cloud.
Did you ever get an opportunity to view that particular comet through some strong binoculars or a good telescope? Something trailing that comet caused many to thing it was a spaceship of some sort. As to Applewhite's assertion that it was GOD or whatever, that was totally another nut who fell into his own pit of lies.
