    ReconRobotics Consent Decree

    The FCC & ReconRobotics have entered a consent decree related to allegations that the company started marketing their Recon Scout remote controlled surveillance robot (the one that operates in the 70 cm band) prior to receiving equipment certification (what we used to call "type acceptance."

    ReconRobotics agrees to retrain their employees, and is "voluntarily" contributing to the US Treasury $17,500 in lieu of a fine as part of the consent decree.

    Not that they admit any actual wrongdoing, mind you.

    Is this the same FCC that has proven largely unable to stop the flow of so-called "10M export" radios into this country? :chin:
