It is pretty slick but where's the "Misfit Angst" that we have embraced since the inception of the Island?
Where is sticking it to the man and taking it to the system and proving that we can do what others do, better and with more gusto and bravado?
Why are we here? We're here because we are the Hooligans! We are the outcasts of ham radio as we know it today. We make our own beat and have our own drummer. We are rejects because WE REJECT the conforms set forth elsewhere.

But somehow, I just can't envision (emulating Helen Reddy) "We are misfits! Hear us roar!" Maybe it's because I recall too well the source of this site's name... I keep thinking of stop-motion-animated elvish dentists... and Burl Ives...
